Kurşunlu Thermal Springs

(Salihli): Located 65 km from Manisa and 5 km from Salihli, Kurşunlu Thermal Springs may be reached by a 2 km road diverging southwards from the İzmir–Ankara road before arriving in Salihli.

Situated in the valley of the Kurşunlu River, the facilities are favoured not only for their thermal qualities but also for picnics and daily excursions, owing to their location, rich greenery and scenery.

As one of Turkey’s most important and prioritised thermal springs, Kurşunlu Thermal Springs produce beneficial effects in relation to rheumatism, skin and gynaecological conditions, respiratory diseases, neurological disorders, and also post-operative, joint and osteoarthritis-related ailments.

The waters used for bathing, which contain calcium sulphate, bicarbonate, sulphate and hydrogen sulphide, have a pH level of 5.8 and a spring outlet temperature of 52–96 °C; they are not suitable for drinking cures.

Operated by Salihli Municipality, the facility provides three types of accommodation, namely rooms with two, three and five beds, with a total capacity of 86 rooms and 270 beds. It includes a restaurant, cafeteria, tea garden, bakery, grocery shop, butcher’s and greengrocer’s. The facility, in which a doctor, physiotherapist and health officer are employed, also contains two indoor pools, eight jacuzzi baths and two saunas, which may be used by visitors not staying in accommodation.

Sart Hot Springs

Located at the foot of Mount Bozdağ, within the boundaries of Çamurhamamı Village in the Salihli district, the Sart Hot Springs, or, as they are commonly referred to, the “Mud Baths”, are situated 11 km from Salihli and 68 km from Manisa. The water, which contains calcium, sodium bicarbonate and sulphur, has a temperature of 52 °C and a flow rate of 3 litres per second. The spa, which is used in the treatment of rheumatism, neuralgia, skin conditions and gynaecological disorders, contains 75 en-suite rooms with a total capacity of 150 beds.
